I could almost see that little girl talking in my mind as I was reading this. What a beautiful thing. When my youngest daughter was about the age of this child, we used to pray as a family every Sunday night. I’m not sure why we stopped, but this post has re-inspired me. Thank you for sharing it.

I commented in the group, but wanted to say again how beautiful this story is to me. I have two young granddaughters and am looking forward to shared moments like this. I am so blessed to be able to share my love for Jesus with my grandchildrens in a way I didn’t know how to with my own children. Precious.

Out of the mouths of babes—-what is impressive about this story is the little girl had the mindset to even think of this. That says she is surrounded by people who understand the power of prayer.

When I pray with my grandson at night, we do the “Now I lay me down to sleep….” together and then he always has a long list of people he wants God to bless–everyone from mommy in college to the daycare providers. I, too, want him to grow up believing the importance of prayer in his life and like that little girl–he doesn’t have to wait until it gets dark.
