Several years ago a senior pastor in the church I attended mentioned the Proverbs 31 Woman.  Up till that time I’d not taken a great deal of notice of this chapter but once woken to what it was about, it remained constantly in the back of my mind. Finally I decided to do a study using WordPress to practice my blogging skills.
My name is Kathie and I live in Melbourne, Australia. I grew up always knowing that God was with me and formally accepted Christ as my Saviour when I was 14 years old. I have had many experiences where God has been involved at my places of work and amongst my work colleagues.

A few years ago I heard the founder of Australian Christian TV speak – I don’t remember a lot of his talk but I do remember one particular phrase that has stuck with me ever since. He said “Whatever your passion is, that’s your vision”. It struck a chord with me and I realised that the very things that made me passionate are the same things that I do daily in my business, and through those things I know I touch many lives. I believe I am where our Lord wants me to be.

  1. Patricia Wellman Said,

I am between jobs and just wondering if you know of any ways I could use my typing skills to work at home. Are there any legitimate home businesses out there? I type at least 55 wpm accurately and we have a computer.

    Thank you,

    Patricia Wellman

  2. Freedomborn Said,

Hi Kathie my name is Anne and I live in Queensland, I look forward to reading more of your Blog and will come back later today or tonight. I’m also a very passionate person perhaps a bit over the top at times but not in regard to my Love for The Lord, we can never be too passionate in our Love for Him. I’m honest and straight forward and yes that can lead to problems if others don’t appreciate this but mostly I seek to understand where others are at, as I value them as people of worth.

Be in touch soon. Christian Love Anne.

  3. proverbs31 Said,

Patricia, I’m sure I probably responded to you direct but realise I should have put an answer here for others, in case they read your comment too. Yes, there are legitimate home business options on the web – I run one of them and there are many others too. Today we’re known as “Virtual Assistants” and if you google that phrase you’ll find a ton of sites relating to it. My own site is at http://www.vadirectory.net and I have a network of mainly women in several different countries, all working at home, typing for clients and providing other services too. Please feel free to visit the site for more information. I celebrate 18 years in business in March 2012.
